C'mon Fales how can you leave out Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys!???

A consummate "studio" recording where I feel for the first time the studio was used as an instrument for the entire process of every single song, (with the possible exception of SLOOP JOHN B, which was forced onto the record by the head honchos at Capital). It is ground breaking, heart wrenching, and in Paul McCartney's own words, "a must for anyone's musical education".

Just my opinion, and I could be wrong!

I always hated The Beach Boys. Then in the late 70s I went through a period of tolerating them figuring they were a good summertime element. But it gags me when I hear the word genius bandied about in context of that fat slob Brian Wilson. Being mentally ill does not a genius make. He was at best an okay song writer. "Good Vibrations"? Is that the best ya got? Genius? Pshaw! "God Only Knows", "In My Room" and "Surfer Girl" were all better than that. Sorry, but I have to go now and put on "Barbara Ann" and soak in some genius.
